Copyediting is an eight-page newsletter for the language profession, published six times a year. You can download a sample issue at www.copyediting.com. The Editors Guild organizes small (five-person) group subscriptions to Copyediting among Guild members who want the publication's good information but find its $79 cost a bit steep. The coordinator of each group gets his/her share of the subscription for $1, in return for volunteering to coordinate the subscription. The other four members send a $19.50 check to the coordinator, and that adds up to $79. The coordinator subscribes to Copyediting. When it arrives, she mails it, together with a routing sheet listing the names and addresses of the other four people in the group, to the top person on the list. That person reads it (within a week, we urge) and then mails it to the next person on the list, and so on.
