April 10, 2006By popular request, this meeting was about self-marketing, and Ann Gosch began the discussion by sharing much of the information that had been presented on this topic at the March 2005 Seattle meeting (see Seattle archives for meeting notes). Then the others in attendance ran through their own client lists and how they acquired each client or project. Networking and referrals have proven to be the most common means of getting clients, along with being proactive in following up with contacts received through any means.
February 20, 2006The South Sound subgroup of the Guild is off to a running start! We had our
first meeting on Monday in DuPont with seven enthusiastic members. We spent the
meeting getting acquainted and discussing what we want from the group.
Self-marketing was high on the list of discussion topics, so this will be the
focus of our next meeting. For now, we've set our meetings for the first Monday
of every other month (the months the Seattle group does not meet), from 6:30 to
8pm, at Panera Bread in the Lacey Market Place on Marvin Road, just off exit 111 from
I-5. The next meeting
will be April 10.
