It Real, an online instructional magazine for those who
write from personal experience. She is the author of ten books on
writing, the most recent being Writing and Publishing Personal
Essays. Acclaimed for her ability to help writers see where
their work is headed, she is in demand as a developmental editor.
She directs the annual June Writing It Real in Port Townsend
Writer’s Conference.
