May Member Meeting with Rosilynn Yoon

You know that your Guild profile, LinkedIn profile, and website are key tools in your digital marketing plan. They are a primary way of presenting your brand. But if everyone has a website and profile, how do we differentiate ours from everyone else’s? Should you use the same content on both your website and your LinkedIn profile? How can you use your website/profiles to attract “your perfect client”? Is SEO important anymore?

This month’s Member Meeting speaker is Rosilynn Yoon, a digital marketing freelancer, entrepreneur, and new business coach. After a corporate career in startups and advertising agencies, she took the leap into entrepreneurship—and never looked back. Since then, she’s built a successful marketing agency while discovering her true passion: helping others build their dream business, and life. Her most recent venture is launching the Nine to Five to Freelance Academy, where she helps aspiring entrepreneurs start and grow a sustainable service-based business.

Rosilynn presented “The Editor’s Edge” marketing workshop last year. Members can find that presentation in the Guild’s website (Activities > Meeting Videos & Notes > +2025 > June 16, 2025). This year she will be discussing ways to optimize your Guild and LinkedIn profiles and website. This will be followed later this year by a pen-to-paper session where you can work with her and your editing colleagues to evaluate your profiles and website, update your bio, determine what copy to add (or remove), and enhance your brand.

To get started, look yourself up on the Guild website by clicking the Member Directory button, and then come to the May 11 Member Meeting with your questions and ideas.

This event is free to attend and open to all editors, guests, and/or members of related fields. It will be recorded.
